SWITCH participated at UCC 2015 (UCC Cloud Challenge 2015) a competition held in conjunction with 8th IEEE/ACM International Conference on Utility and Cloud Computing on December 07-10 2015 in Limassol, Cyprus.

This year, they especially encouraged proposals based on lightweight approaches to virtualization, such as containers and they accepted proposals in two categories: the main cloud challenge where a solution has been implemented to be demonstrated at the workshop; and the second category, which focuses on cutting-edge future work, where the authors will present their design and architecture. The judges awarded a winner per category at the challenge workshop.
